Sept 20 2009: Release of NetraArts.com: The website of "Netra Center for Arts and Culture", San Mateo, California, got released.  Netra Center for Arts and Culture is committed to promoting Indian classical Dance, Bollywood Dance, Music, Painting and Arts & Crafts. Netra will be deeply committed to the time tested traditions of teaching, practice and performance. The Academy is committed to excellence in the teaching, practise and performance of the traditional style of Bharathanatyam, Kuchipudi and Mohiniattam.
Kuchipudi: Kuchipudi is a Classical Indian dance form from Andhra Pradesh, a state of South India.The movements in Kuchipudi are quicksilver and scintillating, rounded and fleet-footed. Performed to classical Carnatic music, it shares many common elements with Bharatanatyam. In its solo exposition Kuchipudi numbers include 'jatiswaram' and 'tillana' whereas in nritya it has several lyrical compositions reflecting the desire of a devotee to merge with God - symbolically the union of the soul with the super soul.
Bharathanatyam: Bharatanatyam is one of seven classical dance styles, and said to be one of the oldest existing traditional Indian dances. Bharatanatyam is considered to be a fire-dance
